Liberty of London
We were commissioned by Liberty of London to make Lampshades for their new "Pavilion Ball" range. Liberty London has always been dedicated to interiors – for their Pavilion Ball collection the in-house design team looked to Brighton’s magnificent Royal Pavilion, which Liberty was once commissioned to decorate for a visiting Maharaja back in the 19th century. Layla is based on an artwork from the Liberty archive, with a layout that features exotic birds and butterflies surrounded by trailing palm leaves, blooming chrysanthemums and luscious roses. This lampshade’s wonderfully maximalist form is expertly printed in Italy with a vibrant design, finished with exuberant tassels and fringing.
